As the environmental crisis intensifies, what approach should we take in the face of an overexploited natural world, and how can we reestablish a dialogue with the Earth ?

By blending traditional Taiwanese music, contemporary percussions and electronic sounds, Tsiah thóo reimagines the relationship between humans and the Earth through dance. The choreography evokes a ritual intended to ward off the plague and reminds us of the need to establish a harmonious and sustainable relationship with the environment.

In an apocalyptic atmosphere, the performers mimic the various forms of existence of animals and plants. The movements portray an unbalanced body to reveal humans’ complex feelings towards the Earth, while the music adopts the perspective of the natural world to represent the Earth’s turmoil.
